My Babies
I was looking through pictures this week and found 3 that I love of my babies as newborns. Sydney- four years ago. Piper- two years ago. And Eden- this week.

Math and Laundry
It is an absolute amazing phenomenon how the amount of laundry increases exponentially with the addition of one tiny little baby! Between all the onesies, outfits, blankets and burp cloths that daily get covered in spit-up (and every other day get covered in baby poo!) and all my clothes that somehow manage to get covered in baby spit-up and baby pee…. the laundry has become a monstrous mountain!!!! Unbelievable!

Baby Love
Most of you know that Eden Rae graced us with her presence last Tuesday, April 22. After 2 long days of contractions anticipating her birth she finally arrived weighing 7 lb. 6oz. and was 20 inches long. She is beautiful and prefect and we are so thankful for this sweet little blessing. I forgot just how sweet the smell of a baby is and how silky soft every part is. It is a wonderful feeling to hold her and kiss her! (I will add a page with her “birth story” on the right hand column of the blog. This way, if you are interested in all the details you can read it.)
Adjusting to life with a newborn is affecting each Turner in very different ways. The girls are having a harder time adjusting than I thought they would. Since Sydney had no problems when Piper was born, I just assumed all would be the same this time around. But no. Piper is really struggling with it all. Not so much with Baby Eden, she loves the baby, but more her place in the family and all the changes that come with a newborn. Sydney is struggling in her own ways as well- more insecurities and acting out. I am glad this is the last week of classes for Kenneth which hopefully will give us more time as a family to transition. Kenneth has had to take over a lot of duties at home until I get more settled with Eden. He has also been in Daddy-overtime trying to make sure that Sydney and Piper are getting the attention and affection that they seem to be needing and craving at very high levels these days. And me, I am healing and recovering well. Just tired as should be expected in the early days. But knowing that every minute of missed sleep is worth every joy that Eden brings!!!
